About me
Mark Jensen is the Director of Technology for Transpo Group and also serves on the Board of Directors for ITS California. He specializes in the conceptualization, development and evaluation of technologies and innovative operational concepts to improve our transportation system. He applies best practices, standards and lessons learned from his work over his career on programs for the USDOT ITS Joint Program Office, FHWA Office of Operations, FTA, multiple state DOT’s, MPO’s and regional transportation agencies – in Northern California this includes MTC, ACTC, C/CAG, CA PATH, the Port of Oakland and Caltrans. As an example of his work, he recently led the initial development of the Las Vegas GoMED Fixed Route Autonomous Shuttle/CV2X and Pedestrian Safety pilot in the Medical District. His education includes an engineering BS, a policy MA and a management MS, from the University of Maryland, Georgetown University, and the Mineta Institute, respectively.
