The new CA AV regulatory framework applies differently to a vehicle carrying passengers and a truck carrying freight. This session walks through the permit stages, the reporting requirements, and how the agencies will administer and enforce them. It covers what changes for companies already operating in the state now that additional requirements apply, and what the rules mean for heavy duty freight, where the permitting path is new.
